University of the Arts Helsinki as part of the IN.TUNE alliance

IN.TUNE – Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe is the only European university alliance focused on music and the arts. It brings together eight prestigious universities from across Europe – with more than 10,000 students and over 4,000 staff members.

Together with the partner universities we aim to develop joint education, high-quality research and innovation, promote seamless mobility and strengthen societal engagement. These themes are advanced through eight work packages, each led by one partner institution. Uniarts Helsinki is responsible for coordinating the research collaboration among the alliance partners.

The IN.TUNE alliance involves the entire Uniarts Helsinki community – students, researchers, teachers and administrative staff alike. The alliance aims to serve as a role model for the higher education sector in Europe and beyond. The European Commission has granted funding for the alliance for the years 2024–2027.

The alliance offers for example online courses, mobility opportunities and a chance for both students and staff to network internationally. The focus is on knowledge sharing, audiovisual solutions and innovation in digitally supported mobility and collaboration.
