Introduction

I am a a multi- and interdisciplinary poet-researcher and teacher interested in all things that revolve around language and writing. I have an MA in literary studies (University of Oulu, Finland), a PhD in contemporary culture studies (University of Jyväskylä, Finland), and the Title of Docent in media culture (University of Turku, Finland). My research interests include: writing as artistic research, practice-based literary studies, feminist posthumanism, ecocriticism and ecofeminism, cultural sustainability, speculative fiction and the politics of imagination, monster theory, and the interconnections of feminist pedagogy, artist pedagogy, and environmental pedagogy.

I have studied, for example, affective responses to violent fiction, art as cultural sustainability, re-imaginations of humanity in science fiction, poetry as feminist and posthumanist knowledge production, and environmental writing. I am constantly in the process of educating myself more on questions of accessibility and eguity.

At the moment, I am particularly interested in writing as a feminist collective activity in which more-than-human actors also take part.
